Turning books into Bread

Parson's Porch & Book Publishing is a book publishing company with a double focus.  We focus on the needs of creative writers who need a professional publisher to turn their words into books, & we also focus on the needs of others by turning their books into bread by sharing our profits with those who are homeless and displaced by meeting their basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and safety.

I was born on the south bank of the Tennessee River. Like Moses, I was unwanted and learned to fend for myself.

Before I mislead you, I knew who my mother and father were, but it was made clear to me that I was unwanted. How did I know that? They told me. I suppose in some ways it would have been easier on me if they hadn’t raised me, but they did choose to keep me. I grew up as a functional bastard.

Fortunately, I always have had a strong sense of God Presence. In fact, I can’t remember when I haven’t had a deep sense of being baptized in the God River. Nevertheless, I am a Bastard.

I am a Baptist. I use the term Baptist in the rawest sense of the term: I am immersed in the God River. I am free and only bound by the River. You will notice that Baptist and Bastard share three letters: BASTARD

I am a Trappist. I use the word Trappist in the raw sense, too. I cannot imagine a life without being freely trapped in the God River. I am aware that I can simply get out of the River. However, that Awareness is the River. Notice, too, that Trappist and Bastard share three letters: BASTARD.

So, I am a Bastard Immersed and Trapped in the God River. If you want a tag for me, I am a Baptist Trappist. I could as easily say I am a Trappist Baptist, but I was immersed before I was trapped in the River.

If you are reading this post, you may or not know who I am. That’s Okay. God knows who I am and he still loves me. But, there is a hint in the word Bastard. My name also shares my three initials. BASTARD. If you know what they are, great. If not, it’s fine with me. I am Solitary, Anonymous, and Subversive when at all possible.

Enter here but with a warning: Some words which follow are intensely private to me and highly offensive to those whose righteousness does not exceed that of the Pharisees. Read with extreme caution.
