We have finished our part of the publishing process, but, believe it or not, we make mistakes. This is when you need to correct us.
Look over the proof, and let us know that you approve the online galleys. If you find errata, please list it by page number, paragraph number, Line number and change to be made. Send the list to us, and we will make the corrections to the galley, then we will send you another set of files to examine. Once you give us your final approval, we are ready to publish and release your book.
Here are the next steps:
1. Your book will be loaded to the printer the day we receive your approval.
2. It will also be available for purchase the same day, provided there are no glitches with the specifications.
3. It takes about 5 days for the book to appear on Amazon and a day or two before it is available at our bookstore at www.parsonsporch.com.
4. That's it. It really is as good as it sounds. You are a published author!!
If you want to purchase copies of your book, here are a few things to consider:
1. Your two free copies of your book will be included in your first order.
2. If the retail price of your book is $19.95, with your author's discount of 40%, your cost $11.97 each,
$24.95 – $14.97 each. | $18.95, - $11.47 each. | $16.95 - $10.17 each. | $12.95 - $7.77
3. Orders are shipped in 4-6 weeks after payment is made.
4. We do not require an author to purchase anything. If the author chooses to purchase copies of their own book, we recommend a purchase of at least 100 copies of your book for three reasons:
1. We break even with the cost of publication, which includes printer set-up fees, stipends for people who make a book happen, and the obvious overhead of a business.
2. Perhaps the most important reason to purchase 100 copies is it places your book in immediate profit range so we can share our profits from publishing and gifts from our donors with the people in trouble which we have committed to help.
3. Although 100 copies may seem like a large amount to purchase, you will be surprised how fast they are distributed after you give a few, keep a few and sell copies to the ones who want to buy copies from you.
