What's New? A Collection of Sermons | Desiree Lawson
Rev. Desiree Lawson is the solo pastor of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church (USA) in Flint, Michigan; a growing multicultural congregation. Rev. Lawson and her husband Anthony relocated to the Flint area from Boston, Massachusetts in March 2011. Together they have four adult daughters and four grandchildren.
Rev. Lawson earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Cambridge College in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton, Massachusetts. She feels particularly called to multicultural ministry because she passionately believes God is gathering the scattered nations together in order that the church may take the lead in living out its call to unity and reconciliation. She firmly believes the Body of Christ must demonstrate acceptance and love for all of God’s creation. She is also concerned about women’s issues, counseling to those struggling with marital concerns and self-care for caregivers.
Rev. Lawson believes firmly in the power of prayer and finds it impossible to do the work of God without pursuing an intimate relationship with God.
