The Mystery of Worship | Robert J. George | Webber Institute Books
Aristotle claimed that the supremely important activities are those that are the most “useless,” not leading to a greater external end. Worship is probably the greatest of such activities—its beginning and end is God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In “The Mystery of Worship” the Dr. George’s passions for family, learning, church, people, science, and life itself, to name a few, are obvious. But more to it, Dr. George summarizes these passions in one great passion for God as revealed and expressed in the worship of God enacted by the Church. In a personal, practical and accessible way, he invites the reader to dive into the mysterious divine life of God, the life that brings real transformation to the worshiper, and through the worshiper to the entire created order.
