Down on the Farm in Georgia | Dwayne Cole
Down on the Farm in Georgia
is a poetic memoir. I lived on the farm from birth
until my last two years of college.
Everything since is memory.
When a parent tells a child a story,
Both become one,
listening together—
To the wisdom of the ages.
The faithful telling of past stories links past and present,
creating a new future. The gift of family is experienced
in each new telling. I hope this memoir will inspire you
to tell and preserve your own family stories.
Dwayne Cole and his wife, Beth, met while studying for the Master of Divinity degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
