This book is about A Center that Holds and seeks to show how God relates to the world and all things in the world as an artist painting kindness on the canvas of life, tenderly revealing what we can become when we are centered in kindness. Central to the book is the firm conviction that God gives transforming love energies for kindness and calls for communities of kindness that nurture us in tender and mysterious ways, patiently guiding us to act, perceive, and love in new, richer ways each day. In this life of journeying with God, adventures belong to the adventurous. The sub-title, Adventures in Kindness, captures this truth.

Dwayne Cole is a retired pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He earned his degrees, including a Ph.D. in New Testament with a major in Greek, from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Cole lives with his wife, Beth, in Alaska. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
