GraceWaves | Terry Ellis
Dr. Terry Ellis, a native of Kentucky, studied at the University of Kentucky (BA in Psychology) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. and Th.D. in Greek New Testament). In his 34-year pastoral ministry he led churches in Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky, and Alabama.
In 2015 he founded Chrysalis Interventions through which he leads interventions for families who have members struggling with drugs and/or alcohol.
He also speaks in churches and other organizations about addiction and recovery, and works with drug treatment centers on the spiritual component of recovery from addiction.
His decades-long fascination with grace led him to begin writing GraceWaves, a weekly reflection on the limitless facets of God’s grace. He describes grace as the quantum physics of theology: nobody fully comprehends it, but grace is the way all things work in the spiritual world. His guiding grace-principle is that once you become aware of grace, you see it everywhere. He is married to Leslie. They have two children: Lauren, who is married to Aaron, and Greg. Lauren and Aaron have two wonderful children: Emily Grace and Beckett.
