Confession of a Country Preacher | C. Richard Roberts
C. Richard Roberts is a graduate of Anderson College (now Anderson University), Furman University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Nova Southeastern University. He served as the pastor of Baptist churches in Indiana, North Carolina, and New York prior to joining the administrative staff of Anderson College for twenty-five years in Christian higher education. After retirement from the college, he served as the pastor of a tiny rural Presbyterian church in South Carolina until fully retiring recently at age 80. He now resides in Iva, South Carolina.
He co-authored with Wayne Oates an article for the Journal of Religion and Health. After that he wrote articles for various periodicals, but did not publish a book until 2013 -- Growing a Joyous Church: A Biblical Basis for Christian Fellowship (Nurturing Faith Press). Since then he has home-published two books for limited distribution (a collection of poems and a family history).
