The Inescapable Lure of the Rabbit Hole
The Inescapable Lure of the Rabbit Hole
PaulSaluk is a retired Scientist and entrepreneur. He was raised in Miami, FL, served for 3 years in the U.S. Army, then spent as much time as possible at the University of Florida where he obtained a BS and MS in Physics and PhD in Immunology.
He retired following the diagnosis of two neurological conditions after which he discovered poetry and poetic language, which allowed him to express and understand his new world in ways unavailable through narrative language. He composes all his poems using voice-to-text software. So, for him, sound is as essential as word-images.
His poems have appeared in Homeland: Writings About Homelessness (FutureCycle Press); several annual anthologies: Seasons of Change, The Mountain, A Bird in Hand, - Risk and Flight, Deep Waters, Home (all published by Outrider Press); two anthologies of the Florida State Poets Association, among others. He was a Finalist two consecutive years in the William Faulkner - William Wisdom Poetry Contest.
He lives with his wife, Beryl, in Pembroke Pines, FL.
